At BD4U we can help organise a package for salary sacrifice. With a range of over 30,000 products on offer we can find the exact items you are needing to purchase and work within the requirements of the company you work for to find you, and them, a package that meets every budget.
What Is Salary Sacrifice?
Salary sacrifice, or salary packaging is an arrangement or agreement between an employee and their employer where you "sacrifice" part of your salary to cover the cost of goods associated with the work you do. One of the most common items sacrificed is a notebook/laptop computer, as it can be used as a work tool in most work environments.
The benefit of salary sacrifice is that because you sacrifice part of your salary for returned benefits you are only taxed on the remaining salary. For example if you are on a salary of $50,000 a year but spend $3,500 on a salary packaging deal then you will only be taxed on $46,500. Depending on your salary, the cost of the laptop/notebook package, whether the item is financed or not and whether or not you can depreciate the product, you can save up to 50% of the cost of the notebook. Do I Need A Salary Sacrifice Solution?
If you require a notebook computer then it is usually a good idea to find out if your work place supports salary sacrifice, as the savings can be quite high. Although some items you sacrifice may attract a Fringe Benefits Tax (FTB). It is recommend to consult with a third party financial consultant or a consultant of the company you work for to find out whether or not you will benefit from salary sacrifice.

A server is a computer, sometimes built to do very specific tasks, that is the centre of a local area network (LAN), and sometimes even in a wide area network (WAN). A server can be used for many purposes. Two popular uses would be to hold a database or a software suite that other computers (workstations/clients) access and to store the data from those workstations, and the other is to work as a gateway and security system to the outside world from the LAN. A server does not always have to be a super computer, or cost a fortune. It can sometimes just be a normal every day desktop PC, or sometimes even a notebook. There are many other uses for servers.
The name Workstation describes exactly what the system is. It is a station for doing work on. Work stations within a business are usually identical (to make updating/repairing/etc easier). They also do not have to be a specialised system. They could just be a standard work PC or Laptop that you would use every day at home. Workstations in a server run environment usually don't store their files on their own HDD (hard drive) but instead save the files remotely to the server for security and to keep the work stations running
efficiently
(not clogging up with information). A workstation does not necessarily need a server to run efficient. If you need computers in your work place then they are, simply, workstations. However in some areas a specifically designed workstation may be required. If this is the case we can tailor a solution based on your workplace requirements.
Is a server needed in my workplace?
A server within a workplace may never be required, or other time you may need one before the business is up and running. Usually a server is required if:
Server & Workstation Prices/Packages.
Due to the amount of configuration needed for a server we generally recommend having one designed specifically for your work place. This is not a necessity, but it is a recommendation. If you need a server in your work place, or would like advice as to whether you need one or not please contact us and one of our corporate sales representatives can advise as to whether your work place would benefit from the use of a server or not. We also supply server racks/cabinets and all other networking/server accessories and installation.

Do I Need A Printing Solution?
Buying a printer can be simple. Walk into a store, find the right price/style printer you're after, and walk out with it (After paying, of course). Of course this can be the same if you're purchasing a $100 printer or a $1000 printer, however often times you may not realise that the printer sitting next to the one you purchased, for $60 more, would have saved you $500 on services and consumables per year. If this is only a $100 printer, then it probably won't matter, as you can throw it away and get a new one for the same price as replacing a couple of cartridges. But when you're purchasing a printer in the thousands then running cost can be quite important. Knowing all the brands, the cartridge yields and costs, the costs of drum kits and services can be a headache, which is why we recommend to let someone else do the work for you.
How Do I Know Which Solution Is For Me?
At BD4U Computers we sell every brand of printer on the Australian market, from your standard colour ink jet printers, to wide format printers/plotters and copier solutions. Amongst our corporate sales team there is an extensive knowledge on the
different
printers and what they have to offer in way of ongoing costs. We can work with you to find the perfect combination of upfront and ongoing costs.
When working out the solution for you, we can quote on several printers, their consumable costs, costs per page and annual service costs.
Apart from the high yield, high end printers, where ongoing cost is important, we can also help to find specialised printers for the professional who needs a solution to suite a very specific need, whether you need a photo printer that takes 200gsm paper or a specialised wide format colour photo printer to print banners to fit on the side of a bus. We also sell business and departmental scanners, to suite a range of needs for high end document scanning to photographic work.
Printer Models & Prices
Like server/workstation packages, printing solutions vary exclusively to each type of business or need. If you would like to find the right priced printer to suite what you're looking for contact us and we can have one of our printer specialists find the right solution to suite your needs.

What Is An Editing Solution?
An editing solution can cover a diverse range of products and services. We can help you create a working environment to suite your professional or prosumer needs, whether you're a graphics designer, a photographer, an audio/visual professional or an architect designer. There are many other professionals who are in need of an editing solution, however many will fall under one of the above categories. At BD4U we can supply you with the software, hardware, support and information to custom design a solution to suite your needs. We also design PCs for students looking to move into the world of professional editing.
What Do I Need To Know?
When purchasing a high end PC for specialised needs, accurate advice to the correct configuration of software, hardware and peripherals, is often the most valuable service you can recieve leading up to your purchase. If given the wrong advice, you may end up spending hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on a system configuration that only suites half your needs.
The advice and consultation we offer is free, and given by sales consultants with years of experience in professional/corporate solutions.
If you believe that you or your business are in need of an editing solution, or even if you are not sure whether it is something that would profit your company, feel free to contact us and one of our consultants can work with you and advise on what would suite you best.
Editing Solution Packages.
Again, like printers and servers, this field is extremely diverse. We can customise a system to suite your exact needs, however we need information from the customer to make sure the solution fits the needs exactly, so you get the best value for money available. See below for a fully configured system example.
